Major Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise program Trainers, Spearhead skill assessment and evaluation of program trainers, Initiate any relevant research that would help the organization evaluate and advice on the project implementation process where necessary, Develop objectives, activities, schedule, budget, plan for human resource needs and carryout recruitment of staff in liaison with the Manager, Create operational manual, Coordinate the harmonious working relationship between all departments, Facilitate H.I.V/A.I.D.S Policy development, Provide logistical and administrative support to all departments, Oversee program activities, Provide personal contact point with partners, provide leadership and promote team work, Assist in ensuring a continuous system for capacity building in skills development, Ensure outputs of programs are achieved, Monitor and evaluate programs, Establishing a plan for monitoring and evaluation for programm based input/output, Reviewing existing literature, Review the situation, nature of need, and what has been done, Conduct quality assurance assessments to determine program success, Carry out enhanced outcome evaluations only when feasible, addressing priority questions, Collaborate in capacity building workshops and provide techinical assistance to enhance monitoring and evaluation, Write reports and proposals.

Senior Program Officer (Partnership Facilitator) Compassion International

Key Responsibilities

The Partnership Facilitator is the key link in the relationship with the partnersl and the cornerstone in Compassion’s strategy to build up the capacity of the partners. He/she works with the partner to pursue the common vision and goals reflected in the child, sponsor/donor and partner development outcomes. He/she is responsible for Compassion’s side of the partnership relationship as reflected in the Program Field Manual (PFM) and relates with partners in a manner characterized by mutual respect, trust, and service.

Identify and select NGOs for the implementation of project activities, Develop a monitoring plan and ensure that the project is regularly monitored and that staff receive feedback, monitor progress on the project and submit quarterly progress reports and project annual report, provide and identify expert advice on project related issues, Initiate and oversee the organization of meetings, workshops, conferences, relating to facilitating co-ordination activities of the project, coordinate outputs of respective departments to ensure maximum program output is achieved and maintained, approve annual budgets for all projects, establish and maintain close working relationship with all partners.

He/she serves as a lead program operations coordinator with primary responsibility for providing technical advice and assistance to the partner; oversee program performance by interacting with partners on technical matters, make site visits to monitor and evaluate progress, identify program issues and gaps to be resolved, provide solutions on the ground or report to supervisor or manager; moreover, the incumbent advises and assists the technical officers and manager with the planning, implementing, evaluating, coordinating and maintaining of operations for the provision of effective services.
